I just wanted to give a brief update on our plans for tomorrow when Rick Santorum stops by to chat. 🙂
We will attempt to accomodate all of the high school students to participate in some manner, if they wish. The entire rally will be a standing-only event except for some privileged seating we’ve arranged for some of our students.
We have chosen to give the seating option to all of our senior class, a few middle schoolers and a few elementary students. The junior and sophomore classes will have reserved standing access and the freshman class will be in our auditorium with live streaming on the large screens. Freshman class officers and freshman student senate members will be allowed access to the rally.
Students who do not wish to participate in the rally can take homework or reading materials to the auditorium for the length of the rally. We have a strong expectation of all students representing in a respectable manner. Sophomores or juniors who are not sure if they want to stand from 9:30am to about 10:45am should take advantage of the auditorium opportunity. There are no seating opportunities for the general public other than wheelchair/handicapped accomodations.
We will be on a special schedule that will allow teachers to conduct each period of the day, much like we do on our chapel days.
Lunch should go off without any delay as we have been told Mr. Santorum has some hard deadlines for the remainder of the day.
I can’t think of anything else to share…
God bless!
